Brunch

Wolfgang’s Restaurant

A family-owned restaurant in East Town, Wolfgang’s is one of the best breakfast restaurants in Grand Rapids and has been operating for over 40 years.  Wolfgang’s menu has so many options you truly need to check it out yourself.  They truly have something for everyone and include multiple different options. Offerings include benedicts, skillets, omelets, quesadillas, classic breakfasts, burritos, French toast, waffles, and steel-cut oats.  The only question you will have is what to eat next! 

Brown Butter Creperie and Café

Located in the historic Windmill building in Eastown, Brown butter crêpes offers a taste of France with a wide selection of both sweet and savory crêpes as well as Belgian waffles.  Try the Sweet Cinnamon Crêpes– with cinnamon, sugar, and butter.  If you are in the mood for more of a savory crêpe, try the Cordon Bleu Crepes– with chicken, ham, Swiss, raspberry preserves, and béchamel.  This is a great restaurant to try in East Grand Rapids!

Eastown Cereal Café

Eastown Cereal Café is the place to be if you are craving cereal!  Choose from a ton of different cereals and milk and even mix different cereals in one bowl.  The café also offers waffles and handmade crazy milkshakes!  The cereal café is closed for winter and re-opens in the spring.  Such a fun place to try some interesting food in Grand Rapids.

That Early Bird

That Early Bird is in the Eastown neighborhood and serves an eclectic healthy menu of locally sourced ingredients.  Menu’s change seasonally so be sure to check back often to see what is new.  Early bird offers both breakfast and lunch options and includes vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options, so you are sure to find something for everyone.

  • Matchbox Diner and Café – Located in the heart of Eastown and offers breakfast all day as well as lunch and dinner.

Grove

Grove is located on Cherry Street in the East Hills neighborhood and features an upscale dining experience of authentic American cuisine.  Dishes are thoughtfully crafted from fresh ingredients from local family farmers.  Grove’s menu changes to follow the midwestern farm season, so you are sure to find something fresh and new as the seasons change.  Grove is a great choice for an upscale meal in East Grand Rapids.

Rose’s

Rose’s is located on Reeds Lake and offers American, Mediterranean, and Italian fare.  A staple in the area since 1992, Rose’s is a sentimental spot for many West Michiganders.  The Lake is a focal point of the restaurant, and views can be enjoyed from their 4-season porch or deck, making it a great place for outdoor dining in Grand Rapids.

Maru Sushi

Maru is the East Grand Rapids restaurant to be for sushi rolls.  This restaurant offers creative sushi rolls – Such as the Blue Mango and the Super Mario Roll.  They also serve classic favorites that everyone knows and loves.  Enjoy your meal inside or take advantage of the outdoor seating on their awesome patio.

Paddock Place

A cozy restaurant located in the Grand Old Mansion in East Hills.  Guests will enjoy a warm casual environment in either the traditional taproom or the more intimate library.  Paddock Place offers contemporary global cuisine and serves both Brunch (on the weekends) and Dinner.  If you visit in the warmer months, make sure to grab a seat on their patio.  Dogs are permitted on the grassy area outside, so feel free to bring your furry friend with you!  A great choice of restaurant in Grand Rapids.

Brewery Vivant

Next time you are in East Grand Rapids you will want to be sure that you take the time to stop at Brewery Vivant.  Located in a refurbished funeral home building, complete with wooden beams and stained-glass windows, Brewery Vivant offers locally-sourced food and home-brewed European-inspired beer.  Be sure to try one of our favorites – the Duck Nachos, piled high with Duck confit, brie cream, caramelized onions, tomatoes, chives, and lemon zest – Trust us they are delicious!  If you are a fan of the beer, be sure to ask about the Monk Club for special discounts and personalized glassware. This is also a great spot to enjoy some outdoor dining in Grand Rapids!

The Electric Cheetah

Located on Wealthy Street, The Electric Cheetah offers creative savory American dishes, including multiple types of macaroni and cheese.  They also offer vegetarian and gluten-free options.  Make sure to try one of their home-brewed well-known root beers, like the Hairy Pawter Butterbrew made from Butterscotch, cardamom, and ginger to give you a buttery, creamy, and spicey wheat ale!  The Electric Cheetah is a must-try restaurant in Grand Rapids.

Terra GR

Terra is a farm-to-table restaurant in East Grand Rapids.  This restaurant sources seasonal, sustainable ingredients from local farms and purveyors to create some great dishes.  On the menu, you will find American fare with something for everyone.  Be sure to try the Pastrami Rueben – toasted milk bread with smoked pastrami, swiss cheese, 1000 island, and caraway sauerkraut.  Terra also serves brunch on the weekends and is a great restaurant in Grand Rapids to support local!

The Green Well

The Green Well is in the East Hills Area and offers an eclectic menu of global varying creations.  Green Well sources locally, so their menu changes frequently.  This is a great restaurant for lunch and dinner in Grand Rapids.

Harmony Brewing Company

Started by three siblings after some soul searching during the recession, Harmony Brewing Company brings some great beers and award-winning pizza to Eastown.  Harmony offers wood-fired pizzas and salads on its menu.  A great choice for a brewery stop in Eastown.
