Kids will enjoy the rides at Camp Snoopy that are tailored especially for the younger crowd.  If you need to cool down during your visit, make sure to get tickets to the WildWater Adventure Park where you will find water slides, three-wave pools, and Half Pint Paradise for the little ones.  This is a must-visit destination for things to do in Muskegon for your West Michigan summer bucket list!

  • Deer Tracks Junction – Visit and feed farm animals at Deer Tracks Junction in Cedar Springs.  New as of last year, take your car through the safari drive-through and let animals come up to you as you feed them from the comfort of your car.
  • Lewis Adventure Farm and Zoo – Located in New Era, Lewis Adventure Farm and Zoo lets you get up close and personal with their resident animals as well as providing many other activities for you and your family to enjoy.
  • John Ball Zoo – If you’d rather spectate from afar head over to John Ball Zoo to admire the animals from around the world.

White Caps Game

Spend a day at LMCU ballpark as you watch the West Michigan White Caps play ball!  The LMCU ballpark hosts many different events and promotions for games all season long.  Head over to their website and find one that fits your schedule! This makes for a great summer activity in Grand Rapids.

Enjoy a Summer Concert

What is better than enjoying the fresh air outdoors during summer in West Michigan?  Enjoying some great music with your family and friends of course!  Check out one of the many concerts presented by Fifth Third Bank at Fredrick Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park this summer.  With an array of bands and genres to choose from, we are sure you will find at least one (but probably more) that you will want to attend!  Check out the full schedule and more information here.

Holland Fourth of July Fireworks

Holland’s Fourth of July celebration boasts a magnificent fireworks display that illuminates the night sky above Lake Macatawa. Various  food is available from 12-10 PM from Kollen Park leading up to the main event – fireworks! The dazzling pyrotechnics are set to a patriotic soundtrack, creating a truly engaging and awe-inspiring experience.

Holland City Fireworks (Downtown)

Holland City’s annual fireworks display is a highlight of the summer season. Held at Kollen Park, this magnificent show captivates spectators with its stunning visual effects and synchronized music, creating an unforgettable experience for all. This year, over 30 Street Performers will line the streets of Downtown Holland. Musicians, jugglers, aerial acrobats, stilt walkers, dancers, magicians and MORE will perform free from 6:30pm-8:30pm. You can’t go wrong by choosing this display! (Also: people who wear red, white and blue get 20% off from some vendors!)

Field of Flight Air Show and Balloon Festival Fireworks

July 2rd-6th, 2025

The Battle Creek Field of Flight Air Show and Balloon Festival is a thrilling event that includes breathtaking aerial displays and colorful hot air balloons. The festivities culminate in a dazzling fireworks show that paints the sky with a kaleidoscope of colors, making it a true feast for the senses. Saugatuck Venetian Festival Fireworks

July 26-27, 2025

The Saugatuck Venetian Festival is a week-long celebration of summer that features a dazzling fireworks display over the Kalamazoo River. The reflections of the fireworks in the water add a touch of magic to an already enchanting event. Bring a blanket or a chair and find a spot at one of the great parks: Cook Park, Coghlin Park, Wade’s Bayou, and Wick’s Park. The website say; “The crowd-pleasing 1980s cover band “StarFarm” has been booked to perform again on Friday night of the festival. On Saturday, annual favorites include the dinghy poker run and the return of a lighted boat parade & fireworks. This year’s theme of Country Venetian will be on full display all weekend!”

*You can find parking and a shuttle at the Saugatuck High School on Elizabeth Street and when that parking fills, the Saugatuck Christian Reformed Church on Old Allegan Road will be used for the Interurban Shuttle. Muskegon Powerboat Weekend

June 21-22, 2024 from 2PM-9PM

Muskegon’s Powerboat Weekend is an annual event where you can spend the entire weekend on Lake Michigan. Starting on Friday, June 21, at 2PM, the boats start to arrive for staging, and the party continues until Sunday, June 22nd. Activities include a powerboat showcase, “The Chase” poker run for charity, live bands, an auction, a celebration party, and more. Hickory Corners Memorial Day Parade

  • Monday, May 29 –

    Although the parade begins at 10 a.m., guests can enjoy a pancake breakfast at the Hickory Corners Fire Department from 7-9:30 a.m. The parade plans to start on the west end of town near Cadwallader Park, and march through town to the East Hickory Corners Cemetery. Highlights include Shriner’s Mini-T’s, and the Gull Lake and Delton High School bands. Memorial services will be held at East Hickory Corners Cemetery following the parade, with guest speaker Retired Colonel Frank J. Walker and a flyover included.

    A pulled pork and hot dog lunch is scheduled to be held at Simmonds-Williams American Legion Post 484. Before the parade, attendees can partake in a Memorial Day pancake breakfast at Hickory Corners Fire Department and Fire Club from 7-9:30 a.m.

Berrien

Memorial Day Parade

  • Friday, May 26 – St. Joseph is scheduled to host its annual downtown Memorial Day parade on May 26. The parade is anticipated to begin at 12 p.m., and will travel along Lake Boulevard from Park Street to Port Street. A short memorial ceremony at John E.N. Howard Bandshell is slated to be held after the parade. Veterans and active-duty military are welcomed to walk or ride in the parade. Those interested are asked to call the St. Joe Today office at 269-985-1111, or fill out a form online.

Buchanan Memorial Day Parade

  • Monday, May 29 – Buchanan is scheduled to hold a Memorial Day parade Monday at 10 a.m. The parade will line up at DT Buchanan, and end in the Buchanan Cemetery.

Branch

Monday, May 29 – Union City Memorial Day Parade & Cemetery Service

A Memorial Day parade is scheduled to be held in Union City Monday starting at 10:30 a.m. The parade will begin at Union City High School on St. Joseph Street, and will travel through downtown, ending at Riverside Cemetery. It will pause at the North Broadway Street Bridge for a ceremony honoring the Navy and Coast Guard, and will pause for a wreath laying at Veterans Memorial Park, as well as at the First Congregational Church Civil War memorial. A pancake breakfast will be held at the Fire Hall from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Veterans and children under five can attend for free, kids 5-12 can attend for $4, and everyone aged 13 and older can attend for $8. More information can be found online.

Holland

  • Holland Memorial Day Parade

    The Holland Memorial Day Parade starts at 9:30a.m. on May 26, and starts on 8TH and central.  The parade will conclude at the Pilgrim Home Cemetery where there will be a small ceremony held of remembrance and music. You can see their Facebook for more info.

  • The Lions Club of Middleville will be holding their Memorial Day Parade on May 30 on Main Street at 10:30 a.m.  If you want to grab breakfast before the parade, UMC is having a pancake breakfast from 8-10 a.m.

Walker Memorial Day Parade
Walker’s annual Memorial Day Parade starts at noon on Monday, May 26th at NOON, located at Walker City Hall and continues down Remembrance Rd.

Cascade Township Memorial Day Program
Cascade Township is holding its Memorial Day ceremony on Monday, May 26, at 10 a.m. outside of the Kent District Library – Cascade Branch.

Wyoming Memorial Day Ceremony
Wyoming will be holding their Memorial Day Ceremony in Wyoming Veterans Memorial Garden (2300 DeHoop Ave. SW) on Monday, May 30 from 7 – 8 p.m.  Guests are encouraged to arrive early as well as bring a blanket or lawn chair.

Beaches

With Memorial Day being the unofficial start to summer, it is a great time to check out some of the great beaches and bodies of water that West Michigan has to offer.  Here are some of our favorite spots to dip your toes in the sand and catch some rays on Memorial Day in West Michigan.

Holland State Park – offering not one but two beaches, head to Holland State Park and enjoy Ottawa beach on Lake Michigan.  Ottawa beach has modern bathrooms, a café with a beach shop, a playground, and picnic areas with grills.

On the other side of the park is the Lake Macatawa Beach area.  A more tranquil beach along Lake Macatawa offers bathrooms, picnic areas with grills, and kayak/paddleboard rentals.  Both beaches are unique in their way and worth a visit.

Grand Haven State Park – Grand Haven State Park has a great sugar sand beach on Lake Michigan, offering a playground, and modern bathrooms, and is located within walking distance of many of the great restaurants and shops Grand Haven has to offer.

Muskegon State Park – Muskegon State Park is home to over two miles of sandy shoreline on Lake Michigan, a perfect way to celebrate Memorial Day in West Michigan.

Hoffmaster State Park – In Norton Shores, Hoffmaster State Park offers two miles of Lake Michigan shoreline with two separate designated swimming areas.  Leashed dogs are allowed on the beach outside of designated swimming areas.

Millennium Park – Millenium Park is in Walker and is a great option for kids on Memorial Day in Grand Rapids. Millennium Park has a huge beach on Millenium Park Lake, a splash pad for kids, a playground, picnic areas, and boat rentals.

Versluis Park – Versluis Park is on a man-made 50-acre lake in Belmont with a beach, playground, picnic area, and fishing.

Grab your tent or RV and head to one of these local West Michigan campgrounds for an unforgettable Memorial Day weekend in West Michigan!

Blandford Nature Center

Education and nature meet at Blandford Nature Center. Enjoy all the beauty that nature has to offer while learning all about the environment around you. With over 264 acres to explore you are sure to have a day packed with fun. Begin your visit to the Blandford Visitor Center and enjoy some wildlife encounters right from the start. Make sure to take a ride on the safari van to view the safari and don’t forget to feed some of the animals during your visit.

Lewis Adventure Farm and Zoo

With over 46 attractions and more than 100 animals, your whole family is sure to have fun at Lewis Adventure Farm and Zoo. Slide down the giant slide, play farm skee-ball, see who wins the rubber duck races and so much more. Grand Rapids Public Museum

The Grand Rapids Public Museum (GRPM) offers a fun and educational time for the whole family. With permanent exhibits as well as, rotating exhibits you are always sure to see something new at GRPM. Make sure to take a ride on the carousel and enjoy a show in the planetarium while visiting.

Grand Rapids Children’s Museum

The Grand Rapids Children’s Museum makes learning fun and easy for even your smallest family member. Make sure to enjoy their permanent exhibits like bubbles and their fun playhouse, along with their rotating exhibits. No matter how many times you go, you are sure to have a blast at the museum.

Air Zoo

Spend a day at the air zoo and experience a day of fun and learning. This world-class, Smithsonian-affiliated aerospace museum provides a fun and interactive glimpse into the world of flight. Learn from their fun exhibits including Women in Air & Space, The Aviation Hall of Fame, Black Wings: American Dreams of Flight, and much more. Muskegon Museum of Art

Enjoy a permanent collection of American and European paintings, sculptures, prints, and more at the Muskegon Museum of Art. The museum also features many rotating exhibitions throughout the year ranging from national traveling exhibits to local Michigan art shows. Have a relaxing day at the Muskegon Museum of Art.

Farmers Markets

Farmers Markets begin to reopen in the Spring and there are many must-see markets around West Michigan. Many not only offer fresh, locally grown produce but also handmade goods and delicious take-home food items. Below are just a few of the larger Farmer’s Markets, but make sure to check your local city page to see if and when theirs is available.

Fulton Street

Established in 1922, this Market has been serving the West Michigan community for 100 years. With roughly 118 outdoor booths and some additional inside booths, there is plenty to see and buy at this market. Main Market Season begins around the first week of May and goes through October. Market hours are Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 8 am-2 pm. Parking is limited at the market, but additional parking can be found within walking distance of the Market.

Rockford

Located on South Main St. in Rockford Michigan, this farmer’s market opens for the season at the beginning of May and runs through October. Only open on Saturdays from 8 am-1 pm, make sure to stop down and get your fresh vegetables, fruits, baked goods, and more.

Holland

Located on 8th street in downtown Holland, this market opens for the season in the middle of May after Tulip Time. The market is open Wednesdays and Saturdays from 8 am-2 pm. This Farmer’s Market offers fresh produce, baked goods, plants & flowers, and a food court.

Morel Mushroom Hunting

There are over 2,000 kinds of wild mushrooms in the mitten state, morels are among the safest. May is prime hunting month. Typical locations and signs include wooded areas, especially around dying or dead trees, sometimes in fields, landscaping mulch, and old orchards. They grow best in daytime temps of at least 50 degrees and nighttime temps of at least 40 degrees. Dampness is best for them to grow so with all these factors, springtime is perfect for them to thrive.

Mesick Mushroom Festival

This festival takes place annually in early May. This year is the festival’s 65th round and it runs May 10-12. Enjoy a variety of events at this festival including; hunting for mushrooms, Blessing of the Jeeps, food of all kinds, concerts, kids’ events, a grand parade, and much more.

National Morel Mushroom Festival

Annually held in early to mid-May. This year’s festival is May 16-19 in Boyne City Michigan. This event boasts, Arts and Crafts, The Taste of Morels, Lion’s club carnival, Wine and Dine Friday, Farmer’s Market, seminars, and of course mushroom hunting. Find the full schedule here.

Tulip Time

Tulip Time is an annual festival in Holland Michigan that lasts just over a week and offers a variety of fun, family-friendly activities. Aside from enjoying the beauty of thousands of Tulips all around Holland, there are concerts, food trucks, parades, and more to enjoy throughout the week. Dog Parks

Dog Parks are a great way to let your four-legged friend get off their leash and stretch out their legs!  It is also an awesome way to socialize your dog with other dogs and humans.  Check out the many options for dog parks in Grand Rapids below.   Just a reminder – be sure to check the rules of the dog parks.  Most parks require dogs to be fully vaccinated and fixed for everyone’s safety.

Shaggy Pines

Rated as the number one privately-owned dog park in Michigan and ranked in the top ten dog parks in North America, Shaggy Pines in Ada is the place to be!  Members of Shaggy Pines will gain access to the 20-acre park, 15 of which are completely fenced in.  Shaggy Pines offers rolling hills, wide-open spaces, a giant sand hill for your furry friends to dig in, a man-made swimming pond, and so much more.  Owners can relax in one of the many seated areas knowing that all dogs must pass a behavioral evaluation as well as be up to date on all shots.  Find more information on rates and become a member here.  This is a dog park in Grand Rapids that you don’t want to miss out on.

Hillcrest Dog Park

Hillcrest Dog Park is in Hillcrest Park in Grand Rapids.  The park features high fences and separate areas for big dogs and small dogs.  The city also provides running water for dogs to drink in warmer months.

Covell Dog Park

Covell Dog Park is located on the Northwest side of Grand Rapids.  The dog park is a fenced-in large open area with toys, water bowls, water, and kiddie pools available.  The city recently added a separate space for small dogs!

Downtown Dog Park GR

The Downtown Dog Park GR is a pop-up dog park in the heart of Grand Rapids on Market Ave.  The dog park was established as a test run to see if a dog park in the middle of the city would be useful for downtown residents.  The park features toys, comfortable seating, and other fun structures for your pup to explore.  Check out pictures and recent news on their Facebook page.  This is a great way for your furry friend to have some off-leash fun right in the heart of the bustling city of Grand Rapids. 

Cascade Dog Park

Cascade Dog Park is in Cascade Township Park.  Visitors will enjoy a separate small and large dog area, a running fountain, and a good amount of shade for cooling down in the warmer months.  If your pooch wants more of an adventure, grab a leash and walk the trails around Cascade Township Park!

Kellogg Woods Dog Park

Kellogg Woods Dog Park is in Kentwood and has a small area for both large and small breed dogs.  Water is provided, as well as kiddie pools and water buckets.  This is one of the area’s smaller dog parks – great if you don’t want the hustle and bustle of the larger dog parks in Grand Rapids.

Grand Ravines Dog Park

Grand Ravines Dog Park is a 21-acre off-leash dog park located in the Ravines South in Jenison.  Near the entrance are separate fenced-in areas for small and large dogs to play.  Outside of the smaller fenced-in area is a bigger fenced-in wooded area with off-leash trails for your dog to stretch their legs and go on an adventure.  Grand Ravines is a must-see dog park in the Grand Rapids area.

Rockford Dog Park

The Rockford Dog Park is located just a short walk from downtown Rockford in a peaceful setting next to the river.  The park features separate fenced-in spaces for both small and large dogs.  There is no parking lot, so be sure to bring a leash for the walk from your parking spot to the park.

The Pack Dog Park and Restaurant

Have the best of both worlds at The Pack Dog Park and Restaurant in Comstock Park.  A one-of-a-kind dog park in the Grand Rapids area.  The Pack offers a dog park for your furry friend and a restaurant for you.  Owners will enjoy a full food menu and drink list as their dogs play, supervised by the Pack staff.  Enjoy watching your pup play with restaurant seating overlooking the dog park arena.  Memberships start at just $34 per month.  This is a great dog-friendly option in Grand Rapids.

Community Easter Egg Hunt at Thornapple Community Church

Thornapple’s favorite annual event of the year is back! Egg hunts are split into two sessions, A and B, starting at 9:30 and then 11am. 

In 2022, they hid over 10,600 eggs on their property and handed out over 250 prizes. This is a free event, however they will be collecting donations ****if you feel led! All donations collected will go towards their summer camp program, Camp Thornapple. Funds will help subsidize the cost so kids can participate in classes at half the cost (or less!) of their value. Donations also help fully cover the cost for any child who wants to participate but can’t due to financial restraints.

Make sure to remember to redeem your prizes and keep your eggs to recycle later!

Grand Rapids Public Museum

Beginning in 1868 at Central High school, this museum grew to its own home in 1903 at the Howlett house. Following even more growth, expansion needs, and one other building it called home, the current facility opened in 1994. Located right on the Grand River it now contains three floors of exhibits, the Roger B. Chaffee Planetarium, Cook Carousel Pavilion, Meijer Theater, a cafe, and a gift shop.

The museum houses some staple exhibits, such as Streets of Old Grand Rapids, West Michigan Habitats, and Grand Fish Grand River, which can be seen year-round. It also brings in new and exciting, limited-time exhibits, which have included, TOYS!, Historic Grand Rapids Build from LEGO Bricks, Design Zone, and many more. Keep an eye out for the upcoming exhibits and plan your trip on their website. Make sure to check out their calendar of events to see what fun family events you can take part in right in the Museum.

Grand Rapids Art Museum

With a mission of “Connecting people through art, creativity, and design” the Grand Rapids Art Museum believes art is essential for everyone. Young and old, all races, genders, and cultures can be inspired and connect with each other through art. With a variety of exhibitions, events, and educational programming all audiences are sure to find something they enjoy. Beginning in 1910 with a constitution adopted that established the Art Association of Grand Rapids, this first important step turned into the Grand Rapids Art Museum. Grand Rapids Children’s Museum

Debuting in 1993 as a museum “without walls” the museum began its journey in the Woodland Mall. Featuring only 2 exhibits over 30,000 children were exposed to this fun, hands-on, exploration, and learning environment. Due to the excitement over these exhibits, the current location on Sheldon Ave. in downtown Grand Rapids opened in the summer of 1997 and has since seen more than 3 million guests. Offering fun and hands-on exhibits for children of all ages, check out the classics, such as The Fish Tank, Mirrors, and Lego tables.

Another favorite is the Bubbles exhibit which allows guests to see what the world looks like from inside a giant bubble. Or spend some time in Little GR, learning to count money in the TCF bank, make your own pizza in Buddy’s Pizza, shop in Meijer, and much more. There is so much to do at the Children’s Museum, you are sure to enjoy a fun-filled day with your family.

The Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum

Enjoy in-person exhibits as well as, several online exhibits that you can enjoy right from the comfort of your own home. Having opened in 1981, this museum is part of the Presidential libraries system of the National Archives and Records Administration. Grand Rapids African American Museum

The Grand Rapids African American Museum’s (GRAAMA) mission is “collecting and retelling the rich, colorful stories which compose the historic African American tapestry of living in Grand Rapids”. Getting its start in 2014 with a grant from the Michigan Humanities Council, the project initiated the recording of oral histories from African Americans right here in Grand Rapids and throughout West Michigan. This was just the beginning as the project grew and led to the opening of the current 2,100 square foot location open today. With the planning stages underway, the GRAAMA is looking to expand into its new 13,000+ square foot location in downtown Grand Rapids.

Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park

After 13 years of planning and fundraising, the Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park opened in 1995. Offering a variety of indoor and outdoor exhibits your day will be packed with beauty, fun, education, and inspiration. Some of the highlighted exhibits include the Japanese Garden, the Children’s Garden, Michigan’s farm garden the Amphitheater, and a seasonal favorite, the Butterfly exhibit. Also, enjoy their summer concert series and Tuesday Evening Music Club at the Amphitheater. Hop on their website and plan your visit today. You may need a couple of days to experience all the beauty the Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park has to offer.

Urban Institute for Contemporary Arts

Part of Kendall College of Art and Design, the UICA supports and exhibits contemporary art made by artists both local and from all over the world. The exhibits are free to the public.

What to do at UICA

The galleries at the UICA have art pieces of all sizes and inventiveness. If you want to see the art from a truly unique perspective, behind-the-scenes tours are available.

Outside of the walls of the UICA building, you can find its Exit Space Project locations, where local street artists add more color to downtown Grand Rapids by painting murals on utility boxes, buildings, and parking ramps around the city.

The UICA is currently reopening at the Woodbridge N. Ferris Building, on the campus of Kendall College of Art and Design. We will update you when more information is available.

Butchers Union

Known for its fine meats and extensive whiskey list, Butchers Union is one of the most popular restaurants on Bridge Street and is a top choice for great food in Grand Rapids.  Guests will be greeted with a cozy atmosphere complete with leather tufted booths.  Be sure to try one of the Butcher’s Cut’s to get your choice of an 8oz Hanger, 14oz Ribeye, or 6oz Wagyu Tenderloin served with Japanese white sweet potato, feta, honey, cultured butter, baby kale, and dill. 

If you are a Whiskey Connoisseur, then Butcher’s Union is where you want to be.  The restaurant offers over 200 types of whiskey!  Grab a drink of one of your favorites or go on a whiskey-tasting journey with one of the whiskey flights.  Whiskey flights change weekly, so be sure to stop in for a new variety each week.  If you are not a whiskey person, don’t fret.  Butcher’s Union has a full bar and some great cocktails with something for everyone!  No matter your drink or meal preference you are sure to have a great experience at Butchers Union.

New Holland Brewing Co – The Knickerbocker

New Holland Brewing Co is known as Michigan’s first brewery and distillery.  The Knickerbocker is New Holland Brewing’s restaurant on Bridge Street and offers a menu with a taste of many different world traditions that they have presented with a new fresh perspective.  The menu truly has something for everybody with vegetarian and gluten-free options.  Guests rave about the Exotic Mushrooms & Goat Cheese Pizza, topped with local mushrooms, spinach, herb oil, goat cheese, and mozzarella – offered on either a hand-tossed or gluten-free crust!  The Knickerbocker also has a full drink menu, including cocktails with infused New Holland’s own Knickerbocker Gin.  Take advantage of the beer flight to try some of the different home-brewed beers they have to offer.  Make sure to visit the retail store before you head out to take home some swag and drinks to go.

Ando Sushi

Ando Sushi is your go-to Grand Rapids restaurant for sushi on Bridge Street.  The Asian-themed restaurant offers many different sushi rolls to choose from on its menu.  You will find exciting new signature sushi rolls like the Crouching Tiger and The Fresh Prince rolls, as well as some of the classics like the Cali and Spicy Tuna rolls.  If sushi is not your preference, they also have ramen bowls and sharing plates to choose from. 

Ando has recently added a brunch option on the weekends from 12 – 3 p.m.  Stop in for Brunch to try some of their special menu items such as the Green Tea French Toast or the Everything But The Bagel sushi roll. 

Jolly Pumpkin

Jolly Pumpkin offers a full menu of food as well as many varieties of Jolly Pumpkin beer.  The menu offers many different options of American Fare and pizzas.  Stop in and grab a beer flight to try some of the Jolly Pumpkin Beers – including the Oak Aged Michigan Wild Beer!

O’Toole’s Public House

O’Toole’s Public House is a come as you are pub, that strives to be a pub that people can call home.  Otoole’s serves American Fare and is best known for its burgers.  Try the Aveaul Burger, which is double beef patties piled high with bacon, cheddar cheese, a fried egg, and Dijon aioli on a brioche bun – pair it with some truffle fries or tots!  Make sure to stop by on a Sunday for Sunday Funday with $5 mimosas and bloody mary’s all day!  O’Toole’s is a great Grand Rapids restaurant! Fratelli’s Kitchen and Bar

Morning Belle

The best restaurant on Bridge Street for Brunch!  Morning Belle is a bright and cheery restaurant that will help wake you up even after the longest of nights.  Their menu offers a full breakfast with classic options- like omelets and frittatas, sweet options – like the Dark Chocolate Brownie Pancakes, and healthier options- like the Garden Grain Bowl.  If you are more in the mood for lunch they offer salads, handhelds, and flatbreads!  Whatever you are craving or your dietary needs, you will be sure to find something on Morning Belle’s menu.

The Sovengard

The Sovengard is a true farm-to-table restaurant.  The best part about The Sovengard is that they source all their ingredients from local farmers!  Not only are you supporting a local business when eating here, but you are supporting midwest farmers and butchers most of which are located right here in Michigan.  Awesome!  Due to the use of only fresh local ingredients, their amazing menu changes frequently to adjust to seasons and harvests, so be sure to keep an eye on the website for exciting menu updates. This is also a great place to enjoy outdoor dining in Grand Rapids!

Condado

Step into Condado for some Mexican flair!  Condado offers an extensive list of tacos that are sure to please your taste buds.  They even offer different flavors of shells for you to choose from.  Try the Blue Dream – a flour and Kewl ranch shell loaded with queso blanco, ground beef, lettuce, tomato, and avocado ranch sauce!  Pair it with one of their margaritas for a great meal on Bridge Street!

Steel Cat Bar              

The Steel Cat Bar does not serve food but deserves a mention!  The Steel Cat has a chill rite system that dispenses draft beer at the perfect temperature of 32 degrees every single time.  If you are worried about your beer getting warm as you drink it – have no fear, the frost rail through the center of the bar will keep your beer icy cold.  This is a must-try bar on Bridge Street!

Anchor Bar
