Muskegon Winter Sports Complex

Take advantage of the variety of winter activities available at the Muskegon Luge Adventure Sports Park, including Luge, Ski, Skate, and Snowshoe. The Once of a kind luge track is one of only four tracks in the US. It is made of natural ice and totals 850 ft. In length. The track consists of six curves and two starting areas. Public participants receive equipment and training due to the track reaching speeds of up to 30 mph.

The winter sports complex also offers cross-country skiing in over 15 kilometers of marked, groomed ski trails while enjoying a variety of the Muskegon State Park’s natural features. Outdoor ice skating is also available on their two acres of natural ice. Located right beside the lodge the rink is also lighted to allow for night skating. Also, enjoy skating on their one-of-a-kind ¼ mile figure-eight loop through the white pine forest.

Lastly, enjoy snowshoeing on different levels of trails from easy to challenging. With four different loops, you can start on the beginner’s trail and work your way up to the most challenging trail, the Lost Lake Loop.

Double JJ Resort:

After exploring the beautiful shores of Lake Michigan, make the short trip to the Double JJ Resort. This rustic, ranch-style resort offers tons of activities and shops and multiple indoor and outdoor venues. Step into the old west with a trail ride horseback, explore miles of nature trails, an indoor water park, indoor glow mini golf, and snow tubing. Muskegon South Breakwater Light:

Enjoy ice castles along Michigan’s 3,200 miles of shoreline. If you are in the Muskegon area, you can enjoy the sparkling winter wonderland while experiencing the Muskegon South Breakwater lighthouse. Snowshoe or hike along icy waves and see how the wild waves contrast with the stillness of the frozen snow and ice. The last few years have welcomed mysterious and mesmerizing blue ice. Giving the impression of giant pieces of sea glass this brilliant blue ice makes for a beautiful backdrop for photos or just to explore with your loved ones.

Head on out and cheer on the Muskegon Lumberjacks hockey team.
