Sparrows

Offering two locations, one on Wealthy Street and one on Plainfield ave, Sparrows coffee has been serving Grand Rapids for years. Offering a warm environment, quality coffee, and a welcoming environment, Sparrows is a great place to run in and grab some joe on the go or meet up with a friend to catch up. Wanting coffee in bulk? Sparrows roast their own coffee and sell it by the pound.

MadCap (2 locations):

With multiple locations in Grand Rapids and Detroit Michigan, Co-founder, Trevor, has turned his passion into a career. Providing a unique experience and utilizing the best beans roasted to perfection, Madcap is a favorite among Grand Rapids locals. Head over to the downtown location and grab a cup to go and enjoy while you explore the beauty that Grand Rapids has to offer. With limited seating at the downtown location, head over to the Fulton Street shop if you are looking to sit and visit or get some work done. Choose your setting while still enjoying the same delicious, high-quality cup of coffee.

This family-owned roaster uses its 95 years of experience to produce the best quality products for all of its customers. Sourcing coffee from farmers in South America, Indonesia, Africa, and more, the shop prides itself on working with quality people and serving people all over the country. With their philosophy being, “Coffee always tastes better outside”, enjoy a variety of beverages in whatever atmosphere the great outdoors offers that day. This community-based shop is located in the heart of uptown Grand Rapids and combines food truck dining, a welcoming/ inclusive environment, and an experience like no other. With garden seating and hammocks in the summer and domes and fire pits in the winter, you can enjoy a delicious cup of handcrafted coffee year-round. A great place for your kids to explore and enjoy, but make sure they have dressed accordingly for the weather as there is no indoor seating. One of the most unique coffee shops in Grand Rapids!

Since opening in June of 2016 this café has become a staple in the neighborhood and focuses on seasonal, local products. Celebrating 120 years of unique coffee, this local treasure is a must-visit for anyone in the area. This business is 5 shops in 1: a roastery, bakery, deli, confectionery, and barbecue. Stop into the homey café and enjoy a delicious, made-to-order bagel sandwich paired with a handcrafted cup of coffee. Enjoy the smell of freshly roasted coffee from their roastery as you enter the store and don’t forget to take home meats smoked in-house. Choose from their extensive list of coffee and have it ground however you’d like so you can enjoy Herman’s Boy cup of coffee each morning. Not a big coffee person? Shop their extensive tea offerings as well.
