Grand Rapids St. Patrick’s Day Parade

The Grand Rapids St. Patrick’s Day Parade is coming back to downtown Grand Rapids on Saturday, March 16 at 11 a.m.  The parade starts outside of the Grand Rapids Public Library.  Keep an eye on the parade facebook page for more information to come. Lucky’s St. Patrick’s Day Crawl

Presented by Crawl With US, the 5th Annual Lucky’s St. Patrick’s Day Crawl is happening March 16-17, 2024.  This is one that you won’t want to miss!  With five bars to hop from, you can enjoy the bar crawl at your pace.  Tickets start at $20 and include two drinks or shots, waived cover at included venues, food and drink specials, and a chance at a $1000 prize for the costume contest.  Be sure to check out the website for locations and more details; see below for the schedule of events:

  • 4 to 7 p.m. – Check-in at Tin Can
  • 4 to 10 p.m. – Bar Crawl
  • 10 p.m. to midnight – After Party with DJ at Flanigan’s Irish Pub

Flanigan’s Irish Pub

Flanigan’s Irish Pub in Grand Rapids will be holding their annual St. Patrick’s Day Party with live music and specials on food and drinks.  Keep an eye on the website and Facebook page for a date and more information.

Quinn & Tuite’s Irish Pub

The party starts with legendary orange county rockers The Fenians on March 8th at 7:30. This local favorite pub then hosts an after-the-downtown-parade party on March 11 with drinks, dancing and live music. Its annual Paddy Day’s Celebration follows on March 16. Grand Rapids St. Paddy’s Day Women’s Expo:

Grab a group of your best femme friends and head over to the 24th annual women’s expo on March 15-17, 2024. Doors open on Friday and Saturday run from 10am – 6pm and Sunday runs from 11am – 4pm. The Fred & Dorothy Fichter Butterflies Are Blooming exhibition at Meijer Gardens is the largest temporary tropical butterfly exhibition in the nation. Every year, tropical butterflies from around the world fly freely in the Lena Meijer Tropical Conservatory for the Spring season.

Throughout the exhibition, there is special educational programming and the Lena Meijer Children’s Garden offers butterfly-themed activities.

Muskegon

Muskegon St. Patrick’s Day Parade

The annual Muskegon St. Patrick’s Day Parade returns for its 10th year!

The parade will begin at 11:00am and run down Western Avenue from 6th Street to 2nd Street in downtown Muskegon. Spectators are encouraged to bring non-perishable items for the food drive that benefits Mission for Area People. Click the link above for more details.

Unruly Brewing

Starting off on March 12, Unruly Brewing will be hosting a planting party where guests will all have the opportunity to plant a pot of gold to bring luck inside their home. You can find the event page here. THEN, get ready to celebrate St. Paddy’s Saturday Day on March 16, 2024, both inside and outside the taproom at Unruly Brewing Co.! Join for a day filled with music, dancing and merriment as we kick off the festivities. Check out their Facebook for details on both events.

Go Green! Scavenger Hunt

Muskegon 4-H invites all community members to join us for the third annual Go Green! scavenger hunt happening in downtown Muskegon, MI on Saturday, March 16, 2024. This free community event will have individuals or teams walking around downtown Muskegon to complete various missions. The missions will be trivia based, photo or video based, or riddle based! We will be incorporating some Irish history related to Muskegon as we celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. The scavenger hunt will be played using an app called GooseChase that is available to download to any phone or tablet. Teams and individuals will need to register ahead of time in order to play the game. Register your team HERE. *All participants who earn 2000 points will be entered into a drawing for one of the many prizes we will have available.

Shamrock Shuffle 5k

Get your healthy movement in for the day before your late night celebrations with the annual Muskegon Shamrock Shuffle 5k Run! On Saturday, March 16, 2024, at 9:00 am, lace up your running shoes, grab your lucky charms, and prepare for an unforgettable race. The event starts and ends at Pigeon Hill Brewing Company, located at 895 Fourth Street. Parking is available at the Mart Dock and in the City lot east of Pigeon Hill. Tickets are $40 per participant or $35 if you register as a family. You can register now by clicking the link provided (opens in RunSignUp) and sign up for a fun-filled St. Patrick’s Day celebration filled with fast feet and festive spirit! (Make sure to rest and eat before any evening festivities as well). Have a fun and safe celebration!

Holland

Holland St. Patrick’s Day Parade

The Holland St. Patrick’s Day Parade will be held on Saturday, March 16 from 12-1PM.  The parade will be downtown and travels east down 8th street ending between College Ave and Columbia Ave.  Some of the features of the parade are Irish dancers and bagpipers! The parade committee invites you to wear your green and carry an Irish flag in the parade. You can also sign up to be in the parade for FREE if you sign up before the event date. Spectators are invited to continue the celebrations at New Holland Brewing Company, Hops at 84 East, and Curragh Irish Pub. This event is free for participants as well, so don’t miss it!

Annual St. Paddy’s Leprechaun Chase

Kick off your St. Patrick’s Day celebration on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at the 8th annual St. Paddy’s Leprechaun Chase 5K run! Participants are encouraged to dress for the occasion – the hosts love to see your green outfits and Irish costumes! This is a fundraising event of Holland Running Club with proceeds benefiting the West Michigan Chapter of the TEAM TRIUMPH, an organization that is dedicated to providing the experience of road racing to individuals with disabilities. There is a free kids run called the “wee-chase” starting at 8:30AM and the official race starts at 9AM. Tickets for the adult race are $35. Show up and use your St. Paddy’s morning for a good cause!
