There are so many reasons to shop local. But when you really think about it, supporting local businesses actually creates a win-win situation for everyone in the community. You get a personal buying experience, the crafter and employees get their livelihood, and the community gets the taxes. So, I say, when in doubt about whether to buy from a big box store or buy locally, think about how you are helping your community every time you purchase something from a small local business. I mean, where else are you going to find all-natural Michigan teas, original art prints, and crafted with love honey soap?
